The brief for the Intentia group was to
provide an exciting & action packed itinerary
for the R&D team of one of Europes top
software companies. The average age group
was around 35 and great importance was stresed
upon activities that would 'gel' a group
that are spread out over 5 countries.
Due to the large size of the group & the
demand for 'real' hands-on activities we
provided a large no. of activities which
the clients had options on choosing before
their arrival in Spain. With this in hand
we were able to prepare the complex logistics
which involved moving people around the whole
of the Sierra Nevada National Park, Granada,
the Sierra de Otivar & the Almuñecar
coast (golf). Of course not only did the
timing need to be seamless but we had to
get everybody back in time for activity rotations
or the cultural programme.
The cultural side of the programme was of
obvious importance & other than the classic
flamenco show we thought that this young
team of stressed out programmers & sales
managers would need something light hearted & energetic.
We brought in a live Salsa band complete
with 'compere' who led the way & by the
end of the night we had most clients (who
weren't too tired after the activities!)
dancing real salsa. The Flamenco show of
the highest calibre proved to be a tremendous
success & we used the flamenco auditorium
for prize giving & speeches.
The director of our agency in Sweden (Äventyrsresor
AB) Gösta Westin rated this as not only
one of the most complex logistical exercises
he'd experienced but also as one of the most
successful programmes his company has managed.
