Trip outline:
An 8 day mountain bike journey through five of Andalucias most dramatic Natural parks. From the high peaks of Sierra Nevada we blast down to visit the outstanding Moorish places of the Alhambra. We stay in five different locations giving us a chance to feel the ambiance of different towns. We take in stunning El Chorro gorge and its pine laden hills reaching down to crystal clear lakes. The romance of Ronda never fails to enchant and from here we ride down to the beaches of the Mediterranean on classic trails through pine forests & along steep sided valleys. The classic white hill town of Grazalema and its colourful geranium filled balconys lead us into a Natural Park where Eagles and Vultures cruising overhead are a common sight. From here we ride into Europes largest Oak forest, a highly protected nature reserve where few people have permission to access its heart - incredible views and true undisturbed wilderness. Our last days riding takes us from the pretty walled town of Vejer to the pine forests surrounding historic Cape Trafalgar.

Biking Profile:
This trip is designed for those looking to enjoy some great riding in true wilderness areas combined with visiting some of Andalucias’ most picturesque towns. The riding is about 75% off road & takes in everything from riding on fast trails from the highest peaks to gentle tracks through oak forests to hard packed sandy tracks down to sea level. We ride about 40-50km. per day & we have about 60% use of support vehicles. Support vehicles get us high to start the day & will help out in case of tiredeness or injury. The support vehicle also carries our buffet picnics & clients belongings. This tour is designed for competent bikers however fit novices will enjoy this trip also.
